As your running about shopping for the holidays please remember to drop a donation in one of the Salvation Army Red Kettles located at various stores throughout the city. The campaign is ongoing through Christmas Eve.
The Red Kettle Campaign enables the Army to provide food, toys and clothing to over six million people during the Holiday season. It also provides assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless, opportunities for underprivileged children and assistance for more than 34 million Americans recovering from all kinds of personal disasters nationwide.
Locally the campaign contributes to CADA, the Boys and Girl’s Club, The Roller Barn, WAIF, the Help House, the Pregnancy Care Center and other nonprofit community organizations.
The Salvation Army was first on scene to provide relief and assistance at the bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma, the twin towers on 9-11, the countries struck by the tsunami disaster and those hit by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Please take a moment to make a donation. Checks are accepted and can be made out to the Salvation Army.
