The League of Women Voters of Whidbey Island and Sno-Isle Libraries are co-sponsoring two candidate forums this month. The first forum is tonight, Oct. 8, at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Freeland. It begins at 6 p.m. and will feature candidates running for 10th Legislative District representative, position 2, Island County commissioner and Island County treasurer.

Panels representing “Yes” and “No” on Initiative 594 and on Initiative 591 will discuss the issues.

The second forum is at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Elks Club in Oak Harbor.

The forum will feature candidates for U.S. representative for the Second Congressional District, 10th Legislative District representatives, positions 1 and 2, Island County commissioner, county auditor and county treasurer.
