Larsen to meet seniors, attend groundbreaking

U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, WA-02, will spend Tuesday on Whidbey Island hosting a talk on South Whidbey about senior issues and attending the groundbreaking of Island Transit’s new headquarters, which will be built near the intersection of Highway 20 with Parker Road.

U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, WA-02, will spend Tuesday on Whidbey Island hosting a talk on South Whidbey about senior issues and attending the groundbreaking of Island Transit’s new headquarters, which will be built near the intersection of Highway 20 with Parker Road.

The senior issue discussion starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Bayview Senior Center, 14594, Highway 525 near Langley. Larsen will host the talk, which will touch upon proposed changes to Medicare in the budget recently passed by the House of Representatives. Larsen will also take questions from the audience.

The Island Transit groundbreaking goes from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the agency’s headquarters, 19758 Highway 20. Larsen is scheduled to speak and participate in the groundbreaking.
