U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen will be in Oak Harbor Tuesday, Oct. 4 to speak with members of the community.

Larsen is holding a series of in-person community coffee meetings across Washington’s Second Congressional District. Community members may attend these meetings for updates on Larsen’s work in Congress, including legislation to invest in Northwest Washington’s infrastructure, lower costs for working families and combat climate change in the Pacific Northwest.

During the community coffee meetings, Larsen will answer questions from attendees and provide information on how his office can help constituents experiencing issues with federal agencies. Larsen is up for reelection in November.

Since January 2021, Larsen has held hundreds of in-person and virtual meetings with constituents, community stakeholders and elected officials across his district, according to a press release. Since President Joe Biden signed into law the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Larsen has held the most infrastructure-related events among Democratic members in the U.S. House of Representative. Earlier this month, he hosted a telephone town hall with 3,800 Second District constituents.

Larsen will host the meeting at 2:30-3:30 p.m. at The Center in Oak Harbor, which is located at 51 SE Jerome Street.
