Langley man charged with possession of child porn

Special agents executed a search warrant at a man’s home to search for evidence of child pornography.

Special agents for Homeland Security executed a search warrant last June at the home of a Langley man to search for evidence of child pornography possession and distribution, according to court documents.

The agents seized two computers and CDs with nearly 1,300 files of child porn, according to the agent’s report.

Prosecutors charged the suspect, 46-year-old Leaf Dobson, in Island County Superior Court March 14 with dealing in depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree and three counts of possession of depictions of minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree.

If convicted of the counts against him, Dobson could face from 87 to 116 months in prison under the standard sentencing range.

The child porn files included both images and videos. They depicted children estimated to be as young as 2 years old being sexually assaulted by men, the agent’s report states.
