If you have a child that loves to draw horses, then join Stephanie Besaw at the Coupeville Arts Center August 2 – 6. Besaw, a Whidbey artist and illustrator, will be teaching a youth workshop in “Equestrian Art” for kids 11-years-old and up. Students will be treated to a “live model” and will be taught structural form, as well as form variations of different breeds. Kids love horses and the students will each create a portrait of their favorite horse from a photograph they will bring to class.
An active professional for over 28 years, Stephanie Besaw finds sharing her skills and knowledge with others a pleasure. She teaches in the island’s home-school community and produces privately commissioned murals and projects, including award-winning juried shows.
You need to register now to ensure a place in Besaw’s class. Contact the Coupeville Arts Center at 678-3396 or info@coupevillearts.org. The class is $75 a student and is from 9 a.m. to noon, August 2-6. The Coupeville Arts Center is a non-profit organization offering a full range of creative workshops.
