JL White sales team joins Upchurch, Sapphire

Scivex, Inc., an Oak Harbor holding company, announced Thursday that JL White Technical Sales of Santa Clara, CA has “joined forces with its other companies.” The merger was effective Oct. 11.

Those other companies include Upchurch Scientific and Sapphire Engineering of Pocassett, Mass.. The Scivex companies specialize in fluid-transfer components for analytical lab, diagnostic and medical device instruments.

JL White provides technical sales and customer support in northern California for Upchurch and Sapphire, along with other companies. The company is a manufacturers’ representative specializing in advanced polymers and fluidic components for the analytical and diagnostic industries.

“The JL White sales team brings tremendous engineering experience and sales contacts to Scivex,” said Alan Schell, CEO of Scivex and Upchurch Scientific. “They are one of the best sales engineering groups in Scivex’s target market.”

Jim White, CEO of JL White, also expressed enthusiasm for the merger. “We look forward to working more closely with Upchurch and Sapphire,” he said. “They offer some of the finest products and processes for solutions to customer needs in the liquid transfer industry.”

Schell added that JL White has a seal line that “complements Scivex’s existing products . . . this is an important step in our strategy of offering the total fluidic solution for our customers.”
