Friday, Oct. 19
At 7:02 a.m., a caller reported that a stop sign was down at the intersection of NE Regatta Drive and W. Crescent Harbor Road.
At 8:11 a.m., a caller said a van with tinted windows was driving very slowly on Olympic Drive. The caller said it appeared someone in the van was watching young boys riding their bicycles.
At 11:15 a.m., there was a request for an officer to stand by at a residence on State Route 20 while someone checked on children of man who had been released from jail on Oct. 17. The man was said to have assaulted a deputy the last time someone tried to check on the resident.
At 1:23 p.m., a caller reported that tires were chained to a fire hydrant on N. Oak Harbor Street.
At 6:34 p.m., a person found a sealed envelope in a grocery cart at a store on State Route 20. The caller said nothing was written on the envelope but it felt like something was inside it. The caller was afraid to open the envelope.
At 8:46 p.m., a resident of NW Elwha Court said a man who was not wearing a shirt had come to the door and said he was high on something. The caller said the man had been stumbling around. The caller also said they had covered the man with a blanket.
Saturday, Oct. 20
At 1:38 a.m., a caller from a payphone on State Route 20 reported being assaulted a few minutes earlier.
At 2:04 a.m., a caller on SW Jib Street requested a patrol because someone had been ringing the doorbell.
At 2:18 a.m., two men were said to be fighting at Jack in the Box drivethrough on State Route 20.
At 5:14 a.m., a caller said a street sign was lying in a ditch at SE Ninth Street and SE Regatta Drive. The caller said several signs were down.
At 10:59 a.m., caller requested that an officer pick up an injured bird on SE Barrington Drive and SE City Beach Street and take the bird to a vet.
At 1:22 p.m., a caller reported that glass panes in a bus shelter on SE Jerome Street and E. Whidbey Avenue had been shattered.
At 1:50 p.m., a man on SE Fourth Avenue was arrested on an Oak Harbor Police Department warrant as well as for driving while license suspended/revoked, second offense.
At 3:17p.m., a caller reported a suspicious situation — a group of five or six men of Middle Eastern descent had eaten at Taco Bell on State Route 20.
At 3:46 p.m, a caller on SW Erie Street asked for an officer to tell skateboarders to stop skating on the side of the parking lot and using railings.
At 4:36 p.m., a caller on SW Sunnyside Avenue reported hearing shots fired in the last few minutes.
At 5:26 p.m., a caller on NW Crosby Avenue reported being threatened with assualt 15 minutes ago The caller believed the threat was related to an incident that happened in July.
At 5:31 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious situation. The caller said approimately 30 minutes ago, car with five Middle Eastern men tried to enter a gate on SE Pioneer Way leading onto Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.
At 9:32 p.m., a caller said approximately 5 minutes ago a boy jumped out in traffic at the corner of SW Seventh Avenue and SW Puffin Street.
At 10:06 p.m., a caller complained about a car still with dealer tags instead of regular plates was speeding on SW Third Avenue.

At 9:32 a.m., a caller complained that a sewer line had backed up on SW Seventh Avenue.
