Friday, Jan. 17

At 8:45 a.m., a caller reported that a kayaker in camouflage was hunting in the waters off Fort Ebey Road. The kayaker was shooting toward shore.

At 9:34 a.m., there was a report of a suspicious man making odd comments at the Short Stop on State Highway 525. The man, an apparent transient living near the Gay 90s, said he “was this close to jumping into an airplane and blowing up the United States.” The threat was apparently empty.

At 9:55 a.m., a man reported that a hound dog was getting into garbage on Fakkema Road and growling at people.

At 11:19 a.m., a driver reported that two dogs were running loose on State Highway 20.

At 12:01 p.m., a Cabrini Court resident reported that returning home to find the back door open and the dog missing.

At 2:10 p.m., a Coupeville man reported that his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend is harassing him on Facebook. He reported he was followed into town by a suspicious man.

At 2:29 p.m., a Snowflake Road resident asked about the legality of selling pipes.

At 3:58 p.m., a resident reported taking home two stray dogs found on Monkey Hill Road.

At 5:35 p.m., a caller reported that a woman ran over a real estate sign on Grateful Acre Place.

At 7:01 p.m., a caller reported that a suspicious driver stopped and offered her a ride on Highway 20 near Miller Road.

Saturday, Jan. 18

At 4:13 a.m., a caller reported that two people egged a house on Oakmont Lane and ran off.

At 5:14 a.m., there was a report of a suspicious man dressed in black standing on the side of State Highway 20 at Concrete Norwest.

At 10:13 a.m., a Silverspur Road resident reported being attacked by her husband.

At 12:27 p.m., a caller reported that someone broke into the Central Whidbey Sportsmen Club through the back door and ransacked everything.

At 2:31 p.m., a Cedar Cove Lane resident reported that a neighbor was training a dog with a whistle and the dog was shaking violently.

At 3:51 p.m., a Hawks Prairie Road resident reported that people are stealing her wood.

At 6:42 p.m., a caller reported that a neighbor with mental problems keeps coming over to the caller’s property and making “ridiculous accusations.”

At 9:58 p.m., a West Beach Road resident with possible mental health issues reported she was worried about “the lights cats play with” and that her new water heater was replaced with the old one.

Sunday, Jan. 19

At 7:35 a.m., a Sonic Lane resident with possible mental health issues reported that deputies from Skagit County are at his property talking to him, but he can’t see them. He asked the dispatcher to listen for him, but the dispatcher couldn’t hear anyone.

At 8:23 a.m., a caller reported that 10 blue drums tied together were floating in Penn Cove. The caller was worried they might be leaking something.
