Monday, Oct. 5

At 12:47 p.m., a Penn Cove Road resident reported that neighbor kids dug a “cave-like hole” in an embankment on his property. He said he cannot keep the kids off his property or out of the cave.

Sunday, Oct. 4

At 2:27 p.m., a Conn Road resident reported that a friend’s boyfriend chased them all over the island and needs to be removed from the home.

At 3:04 p.m., a caller reported that two car were broken into and items stolen at the Deception Pass Bridge.

At 4:19 p.m., a caller at Sunnyside Cemetery reported that someone broke into her car.

At 5:21 p.m., a caller reported that a small boy was standing near Salal Street by himself, holding a sign that read “I’m 3 years old and still poop my pants.” The deputy was unable to locate the boy.

At 5:36 p.m., a Schay Road resident reported civil rights violations in the county and Coupeville area.

At 11:27 a.m., a Walker Avenue resident reported that a large black dog was chasing the neighbor’s cat.

At 2:09 p.m., a caller with mental health issues reported that she cannot trust a doctor to examine her eyes because of the “police equipment she has in her eyes to assist” the Island County Sheriff’s Office.

At 6:12 p.m., a caller on Shangri-La Circle reported that a man with a rifle and two dogs was staggering across the roadway.

Friday, Oct. 2

At 12:48 p.m., a Homestead Road resident reported that her ex-boyfriend has been texting her repeatedly and calling her “expletive names.”

At 1:37 p.m., a caller reported a hit-and-run accident on the Navy base.

At 4:03 p.m., a caller reported that her ex-husband is following her boyfriend as he is driving with her kids on Yvonne Avenue.

At 4:33 p.m., a caller reported that two cows were on Monroe Landing Road.

At 9:09 p.m., a Taylor Road resident reported that cars were racing back and forth. He said it was an ongoing problem and his dog was killed a few nights previously.

At 4:21 p.m., a Ridgeview Drive resident reported that a boat was abandoned on his property.

At 4:49 p.m., a Benton Place resident reported that a peacock was always on her property and on top of her car.

Tuesday, Sept. 29

At 6:37 a.m., a Loerland Lane resident reported a robbery, but it turned out to be unfounded.

At 5:49 p.m., a Highway 20 resident reported that a large black turkey was pecking around his yard.

At 8:35 p.m., an employee at the Navy hospital reported that a domestic assault was occurring at the hospital.

Sunday, Sept. 27

At 11:36 a.m., a caller reported finding a purse on a gravel road near Goldie Road. It appeared to be a teenager’s purse.

At 4:37 p.m., there was a report of an unresponsive man at a hangar on the Navy base. Navy security advised that the man was a missing person.

At 8:05 p.m., a man at a Highway 20 restaurant reported that he received text messages from a woman who was being held against her will by men. When asked questions, the man said he didn’t want to get involved and hung up.

At 5:33 p.m., a caller reported that a truck was up on the railing of Deception Pass Bridge.

At 9:01 p.m., a caller reported that an assailant was hitting people with a cane on Burma Road.

Wednesday, Sept. 23

At 12:46 a.m., a caller reported that a cow was loose on the side of Taylor Road.

At 5 p.m., a Oak Harbor Road resident reported that kids keep vandalizing her car.

At 6:15 p.m., a Kineth Point Road resident reported that a neighbor just landed a helicopter in the yard. The caller wants to know if that is acceptable.

At 1:36 p.m., a caller reported a car accident at the intersection of Highway 20 and Welcher Road.

At 7:49 p.m., a caller reported a very drunk man on North Main Street. He was wearing a blue shirt, his brown pin-striped pants were falling down and he was using a stop sign to hold himself up.

At 9:58 p.m., an Engle Road resident reported her husband slapped his daughter.

At 8:58 p.m., a caller reported a dog running loose on South Main Street.
