Island County Transportation meetings to be held in July

Island County’s Transportation Element Update project team will visit locations around the county for a second time to update interested citizens on projects and gather input on early draft proposed goals, policies and future transportation conditions.

Island County’s Transportation Element Update project team will visit locations around the county for a second time to update interested citizens on projects and gather input on early draft proposed goals, policies and future transportation conditions.

Public open houses are 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the Camano Center, 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the Freeland Library and 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Oak Harbor Library.

Each open house will feature poster displays, a mapping station and the opportunity to provide comments in writing.

No formal presentation will be made.

Island County staff and consultants will be on hand to discuss projects and answer questions.

Viewable materials and the comment form will be posted on the project webpage for those who are unable to attend in person.

There will be a third round of public events later in the year when a draft plan is complete.
