Island County Sheriff: Goat reported in ditch; campers demand ride to park

The following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office:

Sunday, March 28

At 2:43 a.m., a Blue Heron Lane resident reported that someone was walking around his bedroom. He said he armed himself with a club with a brass knob because he couldn’t find his gun.

At 1:08 p.m., a caller reported that a goat was in a ditch near Zylstra Road.

Saturday, March 27

At 8:11 p.m., a couple reported they were walking on the Kettles Trail and weren’t able to get back to their Fort Ebey State Park campground before dark. They “required” a ride to their camp.

Friday, March 26

At 1:32 p.m., a woman on Golf Course Road reported that a neighbor’s dog bit her dog.

At 5:17 p.m., a Memory Lane resident claimed his “soon-to-be-ex-wife” stole $2,000 from his home.

Thursday, March 25

At 11:28 a.m., a caller reported that a calf was stuck in a fence near Highway 20 and Frostad Road.

At 9:30 p.m., a caller reported that his cousin threw a chair at his aunt on Park Acres Drive.

Wednesday, March 24

At 1:12 p.m., a caller reported seeing a horse loose near Highway 20 at Libbey Road.

At 1:28 p.m., a woman reported that someone stole her bike from inside her car on Quail Trail Lane.

At 2:31 p.m., a Victoria Way resident reported that a neighbor’s two dogs were chasing her chickens. One chicken was killed.

At 5:45 p.m., a caller reported that three “crotch rockets” were traveling at a high rate of speed on West Beach Road.

At 8:28 p.m., a Crockett Lake Drive resident reported that someone rang the doorbell and ran off.

Tuesday, March 23

At 11:13 a.m., a caller reported a hit and run accident on Sidney Street. A car hit the door of the Rolling Hills water plant and left behind pieces of the car.

At 1:35 p.m., a woman who was “on the run” from her ex-husband reported suspicious activity.

At 3:18 p.m., a woman reported her 12-year-old son was jumped by two other boys at a mobile home park on Highway 20.

At 4:34 p.m., a Limestone Lane resident reported that a wolf or a large husky was on the property.

At 5:23 p.m., a Harns Road resident reported that a $6,000 motor was stolen from his shop.

At 6:19 p.m., a caller reported seeing three “creepy looking” men in a car on Walker Heights Place.

At 8:21 p.m., cows were reported on E. Frostad Road.
