Island County Republicans elect new officers

The Island County Republican Party has elected new officers for 2019.

Allen McPheeters, of Oak Harbor, was elected chairman for the 2019-20 term.

McPheeters, a software consultant, previously served as ICRP’s vice chairman and as chairman of the 21st Legislative District Republicans. He also serves on the Oak Harbor Planning Commission.

Also selected were Mary Jane Olson, as vice chairwoman, Alex Pfeiffer, as state committeeman, and Beth Munson as state committeewoman.

Olson served as ICRP state committeewoman for six years. She is a long-time member of the Washington Federation of Republican Women and is currently president of the South Whidbey Republican Women.

Munson previously served as secretary and vice chairwoman of the ICRP. She serves on the Island County Planning Commission and was recently elected co-president of the Camano Island Women’s Republican Club. She is a commercial real estate appraiser.

Pfeiffer returns for another term as state committeeman. He is a Realtor at Coldwell Banker Tara Properties in Oak Harbor and has a master’s degree in architecture. He has taken leadership roles in two boards focused on improving quality of life for local residents.

Pfeiffer is married to Island County Commissioner Jill Johnson.
