Bible Baptist Church: The choir presents an Easter musical, “I Saw the Lord,†at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sunday, March 27. A free nursery is provided. The church is at 1701 Harns Road. Call 675-8311.
Christ the King Community Church: Easter sunrise service March 27 starts at 7 a.m. at Deception Pass State Park Amphitheater.
Concordia Lutheran Church: Maundy Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m. with celebrating the institution of the Lord’s Supper. Good Friday, March 25, a prayer vigil last from noon to 7 p.m. The Good Friday service at 7 p.m. focuses on Jesus’ suffering and death. They will hold a Prayer Vigil from noon to 7 p.m. Good Friday Service at 7 p.m. will focus on Jesus’ suffering and death. Saturday, March 26, at 11 a.m., the church presents its annual Easter egg hunt so people can break out of their shells to gather eggs. The church is at 590 N. Oak Harbor Road. Call 675-2548. Holy Saturday, March 26, prepare for the celebration of Easter at a 7 p.m. service. The church invites everyone to join them for meditation, prayer, thanksgiving and worship.
Coupeville Foursquare Church: One service begins at 10 a.m., Coupeville Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room. Children’s church and nursery provided. Everyone in Coupeville and neighboring communities is welcome to celebrate the risen Christ.
Coupeville United Methodist Church: Palm Sunday, March 20, contemporary service, at 8:45 a.m., traditional service at 11 a.m.; Holy Thursday, March 24, 7 p.m., service with Holy Communion; Easter Sunday, March 27, 6:30 p.m., worship at Sunnyside Cemetery, followed by Easter breakfast at the church. sanctuary service, 11 a.m.
First Reformed Church: Palm Sunday services March 20, include traditional worshop at 8:45 a.m. with traditional services at 11 a.m. Between services, a mission fair will highlight local and foreign missions supported by the church. Coffee and refreshments will be served from 10 to 10:50 am. At 6 p.m. there will be a special worship service where the combined worship team will present a Holy Week tribute incorporating concepts gained from a recent worship symposium at Calvin College. The public is invited and nursery will be provided for all services For Easter Sunday, March 27, First Reformed Church will celebrate the conclusion of Holy Week with a special combined worship service beginning at 10 a.m.
Oak Harbor Church of Christ: Celebrate Easter with the church March 27. The praise team will be leading songs during the morning worship service. Bible classes for all ages will begin at 9:15 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship. Sunday morning worship starts at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend a potluck and Easter egg hunt after the morning worship service. The church is at 1000 NE Koetje Street.
Oak Harbor Lutheran Church: Sunday, March 20, Palm Sunday, 8 and 10:30 a.m. services begin with procession of palm branches. Thursday, March 24, Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m., Holy Communion. Remember Christ’s loving acts in washing of the feet and sharing of himself in bread and wine. At the conclusion of the service, the altar is cleared in preparation of Good Friday. Friday, March 25, Tenebrae worship at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 26, service begins at 6:30 p.m. with kindling of a fire followed by Bible stories, Holy Baptism, Holy Communion and preparation for Easter Day. Festival worship Sunday, March 27, celebrates the Resurrection at 7, 9 and 11 a.m. Easter breakfast will be served by high school youth between services. Living Word Fellowship: Walk Stations of the Cross Monday, March 21 through Saturday, March 26. Monday through Friday hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Good Friday service March 25, at 6 p.m., offers short, contemplative services for the whole family. Oak Harbor United Methodist Church: “The Living Last Supper†drama begins at 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday, March 24. This drama is based on Leonardo da Vinci’s mural portraying the dramatic moment in the Upper Room when Jesus told his disciples that one of them would betray him. Observe Good Friday, March 25, with a service at 7 p.m. Easter Sunday, March 27, celebrate a sunrise service at City Beach at 7 a.m. and with an Easter cantata, “Resurrection Alleluias,†at the 9 and 10:45 a.m. services.
