Government: Bush finds another fox
Published 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 4, 2002
So once again our esteemed president has shown his theory that the best one to guard the chicken coop is the fox. He has appointed Alan Fitzsimmons as the head of the administration’s wildfire prevention program.
This is a man who says there’s no such thing as ecosystems, and that the extinction of endangered and threatened species is no big deal. He believes that non native species’ encroachment balances the loss of native species.
This administration has recently made it plain that we the taxpayers should pick up the bill for cleaning up Superfund sites, rather than depending on the morally bankrupt companies who are responsible for polluting our environment.
This is just one more example of the immoral plutocracy that rules this country at the moment. Does anyone really believe that George Bush and his advisors care for the ordinary, working class people? These “leaders’” care for nothing but that friends in industry are not bothered by environmental rules that might take away a bit of profit.
