The Skagit Valley College Foundation is now accepting registrations for 20th annual Whidbey Island Golf Classic.

The event will take place Friday, June 22 at the Whidbey Golf and Country Club in Oak Harbor.

Registration fees are $125 per person. Carts are $40 and can be split between two players.

Registration will begin at 11 a.m. and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Golfer registration includes raffle opportunities and lunch, plus numerous games and refreshments throughout the course.  At the end of the day, golfers will be treated to a buffet dinner in the clubhouse.

Underwriting the event once again this year is Whidbey Island Bank. Tournaments and other fundraising activities help the SVC Foundation continue to support students by providing them with valuable program enhancements, scholarships and other assistance.

“Thanks to the enthusiastic support of our community donors, volunteers and supporters, the Whidbey Island Golf Classic will continue supporting higher education opportunities for students on Whidbey Island,” said event coordinator Julie Krantz in a press release. “The funds we raise will provide scholarships for Skagit Valley College Whidbey Island students as they work to achieve their educational goals.”
