Girls golf: Oak Harbor places 12th at Burlington Invitational

Oak Harbor placed 12th out of 20 teams at the 19th Annual Burlington-Edison Girls Invitational at the Skagit Golf and Country Club Monday, April 18.

Mercer Island won the tournament with 317 strokes, 38 better than second-place Central Kitsap. Oak Harbor finished with 455.

Three players from each team played 18 holes, and their scores were added to the best of two out of three other teammates who played nine holes.

Annie Leete topped Oak Harbor by shooting 93 on the par-73 course. Millie Goebel added 112 and Mara Cortes 117. In nine holes, Bre Roderos shot a 60, Hannah VonGrey 73 and KC Winfield 78.

Oak Harbor, Lynnwood and Glacier Peak play at host Everett  at the Legion Golf Course Tuesday, April 19, at 3 p.m.

The Wildcats, Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood and Everett meet at the Whidbey Golf and Country Club Thursday, April 21, at 3 p.m.
