Fish and Wildife casting for recreational angler

Sport anglers are being sought by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife to serve on a committee that oversees the Puget Sound Recreational Fisheries Enhancement program.

The committee advises Fish and Wildife’s director on all facets of the fisheries program. The term begins in January and is a two-year position.

The main responsibilities of the committee include restoring and enhancing recreational fisheries in Puget Sound, promoting recreational fishing opportunities and ensuring sustainable salmon and marine bottomfish populations.

Applicants should be involved in recreational fishing and have an understanding of salmon and bottomfish fisheries in Puget Sound, according to a press release.
