Coupeville High School’s Christine Fields is in a familiar spot after the first day of the state 1A girls golf tournament at Pasco’s Sun Willows Golf Course.

The senior shot an 83 Wednesday, May 27, good for fifth place — the same place she finished in last year’s state tournament.

This spring’s event concludes with the second round Thursday, May 28.
