This letter is to give my apologies to anyone I may have offended when I made an off-hand comment to the reporter that stereotyped Southerners. My family is actually from the South and of course I did not mean to label all Southerners that way. At the time I was speaking to the reporter, I was obviously very emotional and not thinking about anything but the well-being of my children and other children who could be victimized. I also did not expect that this off-hand remark was important enough that it would be included in the article about what happened to my kids. Please accept my apology.
