The Wildcat fastpitch team scored first, but the Cascade Bruins scored more in at 5-1 game in Everett Friday, April 23.

The first words out of Oak Harbor coach Jessica Weikle’s mouth in describing the game were “we had seven errors.” Those seven errors helped the Bruins (3-5, 6-6) score two runs in the third inning and three in the fifth to secure the win.

Oak Harbor had trouble on offense as well, generating only two hits. Emily Meagher singled in the first and was driven home by Kasie Brown. Shawna Steele had the Wildcats’ only other hit.

Oak Harbor (0-8, 1-10) plays Snohomish (2-6, 3-9) in a double header beginning at 3 p.m. Monday, April 26, at Hillcrest Elementary.
