The public is invited to a special dinner Thursday, May 21, at the Oystercatcher restaurant to support the Pacific Northwest Art School in Coupeville.

The celebration combines gourmet cuisine, the fine wines of Holmes Harbor Cellars and the unveiling of the restaurant’s newly-commissioned work of local impressionist artist James Moore.

Restaurant owners Jamie and Joe Scott, collectors of Moore’s art, have hung his signature painting, “The Oystercatchers,” in the restaurant dining room.

Moore, who dines regularly at The Oystercatcher, said, “I am proud to have my work hanging out where I love to hang out.”

The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes wine and hors d’oeuvres. Dinner follows at 6:30 p.m. and features four courses carefully crafted to pair with each wine. Tickets are $100 per person.

Proceeds benefit the educational programs and activities of the Pacific Northwest Art School. Seating is limited. For reservations call the Oystercatcher at 678-0683. The restaurant is located at 901 Grace St. in Coupeville.
