The Coupeville High School track team captured four firsts in at three-team meet at Cedarcrest Thursday, April 10.

Lakewood led both the boys and the girls meets in team scoring. The Cougars defeated Cedarcrest and Coupeville 95-61-21 on the boys side and 96-45-23 on the girls.

Ryan Griggs took part in two wins for the Coupeville boys, taking the high jump (5-06) and teaming with Brandon Kelley, Jared Helmstadter and Lathom Kelley to win the 4×100 relay (46.31).

Makana Stone (100 meters, 13.53) and Sylvia Hurlburt (200, 28.52) won for the Coupeville girls.

Nick Streubel placed second in the shot put (44-08) and the girls 4×200 team of Stone, Carlie Rosenkrance, Lauren Grove and Hurlburt also finished second (1:54.46).

Thursday, April 17, Coupeville, Lakewood and South Whidbey go to King’s for a 4 p.m. meet.
