Coupeville High School’s homecoming week will culminate with a parade and football game Friday followed by a dance Saturday night.

The Wolves’ homecoming parade and newly crowned royalty will travel along Main Street to Front Street, starting at 2:35 p.m. Friday.

The football game will pit Coupeville (1-5) against Chimacum (0-6) at 5:30 p.m.

The dance takes place in the high school commons from 9 p.m. until midnight.

“Homecoming is a tradition of welcoming back alumni to our school,” said Jim Shank, Coupeville’s superintendent and high school principal.

“It usually includes activities for students and alumni, such as sports, cultural events, a dance and a parade. Our homecoming football game is one of the best attended events of the year and provides an opportunity for alumni to meet, visit and reminisce about the ‘good old days’ of high school.

“For me, it is an important tradition that provides a connection to our community, current students, and those who have previously attended Coupeville High School. It is a lot of fun and we hope that everyone can make to the game on Friday night.”
