Coupeville High School will receive a Washington Achievement Award for overall excellence and special recognition for language arts.
School that receive the award are among the top 5 percent in Washington based on their state assessment data for the past two years.
The state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Board of Education created the award to celebrate top schools.
School officials will receive the award during a ceremony April 25 at Mariner High School in Everett.
This is the second year Coupeville High School has received the achievement award. In addition, Coupeville Middle School was recognized as being in the top 10 percent of schools statewide and Coupeville Elementary school received an award for improving assessment scores.
