Classes on base jobs to be held

For the second year, the Economic Development Council is hosting two “How to Get Hired on Base” workshops.

For the second year, the Economic Development Council is hosting two “How to Get Hired on Base” workshops.

Whidbey Island Naval Air Station has more than 2,400 civilian job opportunities that provide competitive wages, advancement opportunities, and medical, retirement and vacation benefits, according to the EDC.

Human Resources Specialist Kathy Vass will teach workshop participants how to navigate the USA Jobs system, tips and tricks to writing a noteworthy application and resume, and will answers questions relating to civilian jobs.

Workshops are free to attendees, but making a reservation is encouraged due to space limitations.
