A combined Chimacum-Port Townsend tennis team swept the four doubles matches on the way to defeating Coupeville 4-2 in Port Townsend Friday, April 26.

The two teams agreed to alter the usual format and added a fourth doubles contest.

The Wolves had little trouble in singles as Amanda d’Almeida (6-1, 6-0) and Allie Hanigan (6-1, 6-1) rolled to easy wins.

Chimacum-Port Townsend dominated the doubles, squeaking out a narrow win in fourth doubles to capture the team win.

In fourth doubles, Coupeville’s Mary Massengale and Sydney Autio lost the first set 6-1 but recovered to take the second 6-4. Because of a lack of time, the teams played a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a third set, and Chimacum-Port Townsend won 10-5.

Other doubles results: 1, Holly Craggs/Iris Ryckaert lost 6-2, 6-0; 2, Ivy and Ana Luvera lost 6-1, 6-1; 3, Julia Myers/Wynter Thorne lost 6-4, 7-5.

Coupeville (8-3) finishes up the regular season at home with at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30.
