In the United States, only one in four car seats are correctly installed. Motor vehicle crashes remain the leading cause of death of children ages 3-14.

However, many of these deaths can be prevented through the proper use of child safety seats. Washington state has some of the toughest child car seat and booster seat laws in the nation. Securing a child in a properly sized and installed child car seat can and will prevent injuries.

North/Central Whidbey parents can email CarseatsNW@gmail.com. Include the number and ages of your children and bring your car seat owner’s manual. Drop-ins welcome.

This event is sponsored by Safe Kids Northwest Coalition, South Whidbey Fire/EMS, Whidbey General Hospital EMS, and Central Whidbey Fire, Oak Harbor Fire and North Whidbey Fire departments.
