Boys golf: Oak Harbor holding onto 3rd in Wesco tournament

After round one Tuesday, May 10, of the two-day Wesco 3A boys golf tournament at the Snohomish Golf course, Oak Harbor is holding on to, barely, the third spot in the team standings.

After round one Tuesday, May 10, of the two-day Wesco 3A boys golf tournament at the Snohomish Golf course, Oak Harbor is holding on to, barely, the third spot in the team standings.

Glacier Peak leads the eight-team meet with 393 strokes, followed by Everett with 418. Oak Harbor is next with 440, one stroke better than Shorewood. Shorecrest has 451, Lynnwood 453, Mountlake Terrace 461 and

Meadowdale 486.

The second, and final, round takes place Wednesday, May 11, at noon at the Snohomish GC.

Oak Harbor’s Jake Ford is tied for fifth in the medalist race with a 77.  Lynnwood’s Rudy Caparas leads the field with a 70 on the par-72 course.

The Wildcats’ David Bunch sits in seventh with a 79, while Greg Martin shot 81, Caleb Knaack 98 and Jake Nelson 105.
