Vern Olson, one of the founders of the Shifty Sailors, will be the guest of honor during the Island County Historical Museum’s Awesome Auction, which is scheduled for 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Oak Harbor Elks Club.

The Shifty Sailors, which originally formed to promote a book and nautical exhibit, is celebrating its 20th year in 2013. The event includes a dinner and costs $60 per person and tickets are available at the museum located at 908 SW Alexander St. For more information, call 360-678-3310.
