Editor,

Next month I graduate from Coupeville High School and step into the real world with hopes to pursue a higher education. I have been in Coupeville Schools since second grade, and have grown up with those in my senior class, along with growing up with this community.

I may have not made an impact on my community, but they have made an impact on me.

I do not know where my future lies, but I do know my home is here, and I am grateful that I know where that is.

I do not have the best GPA, grades or attitude, but the teachers and staff of Coupeville, along with my parents, have helped guide me rather then pushing me through the system with no care about my future, and I wish to thank them for their help.

Being as undecided as I am, I may stay for a couple more years and attend Skagit Valley College or I may leave for an out-of-state college, only to visit my parents during Christmas break and summer, but I know that I will come back to the welcoming place I call home, Coupeville, Wash.
