“Beach bash” at Bible school

Kids in kindergarten through the fifth-grade are invited to join “Son Surf Beach Bash” Vacation Bible School at Church on the Rock, July 25 through 29. An unforgettable beach bash awaits each day from 9 a.m. to noon.  Families are asked to register their children as soon as possible, as space is limited.  Registration information is available by calling 675-3032. Church on the Rock is located at 1780 SE Fourth Ave. in Oak Harbor.

Coupeville Bible School

The Coupeville United Methodist Church will be offering Vacation Bible School from Monday, Aug. 8 through Friday, Aug. 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Children ages 3 through those entering grade five are welcome to attend.  Vacation Bible School is free to all children in the community. Sign up on the first day of school. Contact the church office at 678-4256.

The Bible as a cookbook

The Oak Harbor First United Methodist Church is presenting its Shake-It Up Cafe held Aug. 8 though 12, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for children ages three years  to just out of fifth-grade.

In this kid-friendly café full of chef’s hats and aprons, pots and pans, checkered tablecloths, and chalk-board menus, kids explore the Bible as a cookbook filled with recipes for living out God’s word. Boys and girls will celebrate biblical festivals that reveal ingredients for being a follower of God. Signup online today at oakharborfumc.org and invite your friends to sign-up too.

Pandamania  and the Bible

The Child Evangelism Fellowship will present five-day neighborhood clubs

this summer for children ages 6 to 12. A qualified child Evangelism Fellowship teacher will present Bible stories, songs, verse games and crafts. This year’s theme is Pandamania and will have a southern China great panda theme. If you book a five-day camp, all you’re required to do is invite neighborhood kids to participate in your home or backyard, sit in on lessons and provide a snack. Understanding in five words

Concordia Lutheran Church invites children to Vacation Bible School: “Five Words of Understanding – Jesus Christ, God’s Son, Savior,” which will be held Monday through Friday, Aug. 15 to Aug. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon.
