Thirsty Crab’s new stage to host ensemble

Kristi O’Donnell and Café Impromptu Quintet will perform Swingin’ Summertime Tunes from 6-8 p.m. this Saturday, Aug. 6 on the new outdoor stage of Thirsty Crab Brewery, located at 9158 Highway 525 in Clinton.

Café Impromptu is a pop-up ensemble made up of female musicians who share an interest in swing music, chanson, bossa nova and the music of Django Reinhardt and perform together.

The Aug. 6 show will feature Jennie Mayer on rhythm guitar, Molly Felder on vocals and drums, Adrienne Reed on vocals and accordion, Janna Kushneryk on violin and Kristi O’Donnell on acoustic bass. Other special guests will all be joining the band.

The new concert area at Thirsty Crab sits in a grassy glen just below the street-level brewery and patio. Concertgoers are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets. There is some shade available.

The Build-A-Brat Food Truck will be serving gourmet sausages, sides, desserts and soft drinks. Thirsty Crab will serve chilled artisan beers.

Seating is first come first served. Admission is free but tips for the band are greatly appreciated. Thirsty Crab is family- and dog-friendly. Ample parking is available off Deer Lake Road.

Arrive early from 3-6 p.m. for the First Annual Thirsty Crab Car Show, then stay for the music.
