Coupeville agriculture icons Dale and Liz Sherman are retiring from farming, and the community is coming together to celebrate them.

The party will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, at Coupeville Town Park, according to a flyer made by the organizer.

Sherman’s Pioneer Farm off Highway 20 has been a fixture in the community and the host of beloved traditions for Whidbey Island families for decades.

“Dale and Liz are great people, so involved and giving to our community and so much fun!” Coupeville Mayor Molly Hughes wrote in an email to the News-Times.
