Good News for kids after school

First Reformed Church, 250 SW Third Ave., Room 9, hosts an after school Good News Club under the umbrella of Child Evangelism Fellowship, an ecumenical organization. The Bible Club mets every Friday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and continues through the school year. Children ages 6 to 12 years are invited to attend.

They will enjoy singing hymns and songs, playing memory verse games and hearing Bible and missionary stories, among many other activities. Contact Gail Wieldraayer, teacher and club coordinator, at 675-2514.

Sunday with Beatrix Potter

Beatrix Potter, an English Unitarian, was talented in many ways, including art, literature and science. She was also a visionary in environmental awareness. Susan Morrisson, M.Div. ‘Women of Faith’ coming soon

Whidbey Island women will be attending the Women of Faith gathering Oct. 29 and 30 at Key Arena in Seattle. Great reserved group seats costing $89 are available through Living Word. Parties with Harvest Festival

Kids ages infant through the 6th grade are invited to dress up in their costumes and bring their moms and dads to the Family Bible Church Harvest Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29, 2760 N. Heller Road, Oak Harbor. Enjoy an evening of fun games, lots of candy, entertainment and prize drawings. Admission is a nonperishable food item for North Whidbey Help House.
