Oak Harbor Christian School is bringing the spirit of Christmas to the city with a biblical drive-through re-enactment.

“Drive the Road to Bethlehem” will take local residents from Rome to Bethlehem in a live re-telling of the Christmas story, featuring live animals such as sheep, donkeys, mini-horses, goats and chickens.

“Our school family will once again come together to share the ‘good news of great joy for all people.’ We are and will continue to be the light of Christ in Oak Harbor!” Sely Rosas, head of the Oak Harbor Christian School, wrote in an email. “Our Live Nativity is a beautiful experience that will touch every person in a very special way, and all from the comfort of their car (for safety purposes, no walk-throughs or pedestrian traffic will be allowed).”

Every family that drives through the nativity will also receive a gift bag with a craft to build together at home.

The event will take place from 5-8 p.m. Dec. 4.
