Name that lamb

It’s lambing season at Bell’s Farm, and the public is invited to join in the cuteness by suggesting names for the newborn lambs.

The theme for this year’s names is drinks — soda, juice, liquor, coffee and all other beverages are on the table.

As of Friday, the farm has welcomed 27 baby lambs this season. The first two, twins born on New Year’s Day, were named Guinness and Stout. They have since been followed by Mocha, Boba, Margarita, Earl Grey and 21 others.

Community members can suggest names by commenting on photos of new lambs posted on the Bell’s Farm Facebook and Instagram pages. Farmer Kyle Flack said farm workers select a name from the suggestions based on creativity or popularity.

There will be plenty more opportunities to name one of the fluffy critters. Flack said the farm expects to welcome around 50 total lambs by the end of March.
