Celebrate the season with “Impressions of Christmas,” Whidbey Community Chorus’ annual Christmas concerts.

Concerts are set for 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, both at the First United Methodist Church in Oak Harbor.

Whidbey’s largest chorus, under the direction of conductor Chet Hansen, will sing sacred to secular Christmas classics, including the traditional German carol “Joseph Dearest, Joseph Mine” by Howard Helvey, John Rutter’s rousing “Deck the Hall” and Eugene Butler’s thoughtful interpretation of Robert Frost’s poem, “Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening.”

Friday’s audience will be treated to selections performed by Oak Harbor High School’s award-winning choral students and director Darren McCoy.

Concerts are free, but donations are gratefully accepted.

Early arrival is advised as seats fill fast.
