Editor,

As our family starts our 20th year of calling Coupeville home, we ask that you please support the two levies for the Coupeville School District currently on the ballot. Our children have received the best Coupeville has to offer.

Two are grown and both successful in their fields of study, due in large part to their education provided by the Coupeville school system and what their teachers were able to give them.

The first levy continues to fund salaries, transportation and other essential services. Our teachers and administrators and classified staff deserve our support.

From Wilbur Purdue’s devotion to History Day to Barbara Ballard’s dedication to getting students ready to compete in a college environment and to Tacy Bigelow’s passion for the arts, and to all the other faculty members who strive to provide the best for our students you need to vote yes and continue to support what so many work so tirelessly to accomplish for our children.

The second levy, funding technology, is just as crucial as funding essential services. Our children deserve to have access to technology so they can compete and innovate as they move through our school system and out into the work force.

Vote yes for a brighter tomorrow, our children deserve all that we can give them.
