Won’t know how much we lost until library gone

Editor,

We need to support our libraries by voting yes for libraries on April 24. If the levy fails we will lose a precious community resource. Yes, they provide books, classes and a great place to meet. But it’s more than that.

It’s a cornerstone of our community. Think about that the next time your neighbors come together for that book club meeting and how your library supports this club. Or the conference room used to start a new project or share a life experience. How about a club that wants to recruit new members and needs a meeting place? The visual aids and projector we have access to for free. Checking out audio-books for your summer vacation drive. All of the classes and programs Sno-Isle offers.

We won’t know how much we’ve lost until it is gone. This is the first ask for a levy lift in nine years. We need to support this request. It is an investment in our children, in us, and in our community. Please vote YES.
