For the past 44 months Obama has spent more time in front of the cameras than John Wayne did in almost 50 years. Day after day when I turned on the TV there was Obama’s smiling face telling the country how lucky we were to have him running the show. We have nothing to worry about as he has it all under control. Almost the same words used by the captain of the Titanic.
I fear that if Obama is re-elected, 2012 may be the last national election held in the United States. Obama will slowly dismantle the Constitution that has made us the great country we are. All those freedoms granted in the Bill of Rights will become a thing of the past. He is the only President who has not attended Memorial Day services at Arlington National Cemetery to honor those who served and died for our country.
Every year thousands upon thousands of Americans travel to Washington, D.C. to pay their respects to family members and friends who gave their all for this country. The TV coverage of the event has drawn millions of viewers each year. Each year with the exception of 2012. “A storm was brewing and for safety the program was cut short.” The storm was in the Jacksonville, Fla., area, 700 miles away. All those thousands of people who had traveled all across the USA to honor the dead were driven away in what I consider the lowest act ever pulled by the White House. As soon as the “strong arm boys” cleared the area (public areas) of those many thousands of mourners, Obama showed up with a special program for some of his selected backers. Forcing citizens out of public areas so he could put on a show for his friends. That is what the White House grounds are for. That is the domain of the President, but all the rest is public property, not a part of the White House grounds. I don’t see how any veteran can ever forgive this act. Oh yes, I don’t remember that storm ever hitting Washington, D.C. After running all the visitors out of the public section, Obama and friends moved into the area that was unsafe for the visitors and gave his pitch. Have our once honored Secret Service turned into an American-style Nazi Gestapo force?
Prior to Obama taking office I have watched many Presidential news briefings in which the President finished the session by opening up for questions from reporters or the public. I have not seen that in the time Obama has been in office. In early July, Obama was giving another of his propaganda speeches A reporter (Neil Munro) tried to get in a question pertaining to what Obama was saying. Obama snapped back at him to wait until the speech was finished. In time Obama finished and turned to Munro for his question. At that point things happened so fast I was lost. All I saw was Obama storming off the stage with, I believe, the question unanswered. Oh for the good old days when the American people had the right, and could question their President, and get an on-the-spot answer. Will that ever happen again? Will America again belong to the people, not the President?
