Voters should see Emerson in action

There is a huge disparity in knowledge and intelligence between commissioners Helen Price Johnson and Kelly Emerson. The same disparity exists between commissioners Angle Homola and Emerson.

Sadly, Commissioner Emerson either has no clue about most issues that come before the commissioners, or she is so ideologically driven that most of her positions or solutions are nonsensical and destructive of county government.

To get the full picture of just how bad this problem really is you need to start attending Board of Island County Commissioners meetings every Monday at 10 a.m. and running most of the day. If you do, you will see an angry, generally unpleasant, completely uncooperative and almost always combative Commissioner Emerson in full throat.

It is really sad to watch, but as voters who did the unthinkable and elected her to this lofty and exceedingly important position, we owe it to ourselves to observe first-hand the devastation that can ensue when we take too cavalier an attitude toward the election process. I hope that many who voted for her are experiencing buyer’s remorse so nothing like this will ever happen again in this county.
