They’re fighting to keep us

Array

Just a couple of corrections to Scot Smith’s “Sound Off” in the Aug. 23 issue. First, the BPA is required by law to provide cheap power to Northwest PUDs first. The power may be “wheeled” over PSE lines, but they can’t interfere with the PUDs’ rights to buy and receive that cheap power from BPA.

Second, if PSE is so unhappy with serving Whidbey Island, why are they fighting to keep us? Could it be that we’re profitable to PSE’s interest?
