The grand opening of Wildcat Memorial Stadium was a great success, complete with an inaugural victory by our state champion football team.

With at least 4,000 people in attendance, the grand opening ranks as the largest event the school district has ever hosted. We learned how we can move people through the gates faster and be more efficient about selling concessions, but we also learned that this facility can handle a crowd that’s 1,000 people over capacity.

Thank you, Oak Harbor, for making this possible. Thank you to all in attendance for your enthusiasm and your patience in the longer-than-expected lines. Thanks to Wildcat teams everywhere for making us proud.
