Whidbey Island Farm Animal Assistance Program recently provided assistance for a North Whidbey family who had fallen on some hard times and were unable to provide proper care for their four horses.

WIFAAP team of volunteers came together and improved the horses’ living conditions by donating hay, grains that were purchased and repairs for their fencing.

The horses also received veterinary services including trimming of their hooves.

Two of the four horses were surrendered and are currently in foster care for rehabilitation and training.

These goals of our organization can only be met through the generous donations of time and resources of our volunteers.

It is with pride and gratitude that we publicly thank our volunteers for this successful rescue.

As with any organization financial assistance is always needed and appreciated, pending our nonprofit status.
