Tax increase remains same

If you vote “yes” on the North Whidbey Park and Recreation levy renewal (which includes the pool) there will be no increase on your property taxes — not one cent over what you currently pay. There appears to be some kind of confusion that by voting “yes” your property taxes will increase by a rate of 17 cents per thousand. That is absolutely not true.

Should this maintenance and operation renewal levy not pass, the pool will close Jan. 1, 2012.

Do not let this happen. Vote ‘yes.”
