Both John Fowkes and Jill Johnson are candidates for Island County commissioner.

The voters deserve information to fairly evaluate these candidates. Yet, through no fault of his staff, John Fowkes’ information in the Voter’s Pamphlet is incomplete, other than he prefers Democrat. And, in a recent Whidbey News- Times article, minimal is said about John and a great deal about Jill.

I understand she is more experienced and, at the same time, John has some qualities and attributes that will make him a good representative for Island County.

Please at least check out his website and encourage more coverage in the News-Times.
