Slowik gets the job done

In the dozen years I have lived here, I have read in your newspaper about the city hiring consultant after consultant in an attempt to fix downtown Oak Harbor. Until recently, I haven’t seen much happen. My understanding is that this “analysis paralysis” extends back some 35 years.

In the dozen years I have lived here, I have read in your newspaper about the city hiring consultant after consultant in an attempt to fix downtown Oak Harbor. Until recently, I haven’t seen much happen. My understanding is that this “analysis paralysis” extends back some 35 years.

But Jim Slowik got something done, and the result is a big win for Oak Harbor. Most of Pioneer Way looks great — and the rest will look great soon! Thirty-five years from now, Pioneer Way will still look great, and just imagine how much money we’ll save by not hiring all those consultants.

Slowik’s challenger isn’t known for doing, but for saying “No!” We need a mayor who gets things done: Jim Slowik, a man who has, in one term, transformed Pioneer Way and made Oak Harbor a better place to live!
