Obama and wife go to church

I find it distressing that some evangelicals, in books, on radio and TV, are leading many good Christian people into villifying a devout fellow Christian, Barack Obama. They apparently do this without bothering to check out the facts of his life, which are easily available and a matter of public record.

Obama’s parents were agnostics, with no religious beliefs. He became interested in Christianity while he was a college student and became a church-going Christian, with his wife, as a young man. His “brand” of Christianity is not the same as the evangelicals’, but they both espouse the same basic beliefs, including the commandments to love God and love your neighbor.
