I know why I love this community and I work so hard to help, North Whidbey residents did it again! You surpassed the Atlanta headquarters of the American Cancer Society’s goals for number of participants in the Cancer Prevention Study-3.
The North Whidbey Relay has exceeded in so many areas from the number of participants to specifically number of men, etc. This will make such a difference. Atlanta sends a big thank you, and wow! I cannot thank the CPS-3 study participants enough, Linda Kaser and Karla Sharkey, relay chair and vice-chair, North Whidbey Middle School administration and specifically Paul Faulkner for the site and set-up, CPS-3 Committee members, the Whidbey News-Times for publicity, the city of Oak Harbor for supporting this event with a proclamation, the members of Soroptimist, Lions Club, Kiwanis, Venture Club, Crescent Harbor Elementary staff, Navy League and the Relay team captains and team members and photographers Todd Martin and K.C. Pohtilla. North Whidbey has gone over above in its efforts to help find the cures for cancer.
